Knight Integrative Medicine was founded by Dr. Candice Knight out of her frustration with the lack of resources available to both doctors and patients for managing complex chronic illness. Because of the limited tools in her toolbox for managing more challenging cases, she sought out and continues to pursue additional training in integrative and functional medicine in order to serve the patients that need more time and investigation than what conventional medicine has to give.

A native of south Louisiana, she is committed to playing her part in advancing the current status of healthcare in the country to provide cutting edge thinking and services right here at home.

She received her undergraduate degree from Yale University in History while also fulling pre-med requisites. She then attended Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and received a Masters in Public Health with a focus in Epidemiology and Maternal and Child Health. After public health school, Dr. Knight went to LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and then completed a residency in Rural Family Medicine where she served her last year as Chief Resident and also stayed on staff as faculty for an additional year.

She is now certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. She is currently pursuing certification with the Institute for Functional Medicine. She is also in fellowship training for regenerative and functional medicine with the American Academy of Ant-Aging Medicine.

Her goal in forming Knight Integrative Medicine is to provide an environment where every interaction is one of true and deep healing and patient’s are supported physically, emotionally, and spiritually to optimize their health and wellness.
